Harrah's offers the prime Nevada nightlife, along with seemingly endless stretches of pristine, rugged wilderness right outside the door. The high-class service and glamorous nightlife options offered by Harrah's have been recognized by various travel organizations, making this one of the most acclaimed resorts in Lake Tahoe. Harrah's has been awarded four diamonds by AAA. The earthen colored exterior blends with the Sierra Nevada Mountains that encircle the lake. This complex is composed of a dome-covered swimming pool, two spas, tanning beds, and locker-room facilities. There is also an outside bar and sunbathing area, which is open in the summer. Each of the 525 rooms has cable television with Nintendo and Pay-Per-View, Web TV, dataport, coffeemaker, bedside reading lights, soundproofed walls, blackout draperies, bay windows for views of Lake Tahoe and the Sierra, and 24-hour room service. Several hotel floors are for non-smoking guests.
